What makes my business valuable, and will that value carry over?
Start with the decision you need to make. To improve the business, examine what produces cash, what it takes to keep producing it, and what could interrupt it. For a possible sale, also ask what a buyer could continue to earn and what they could verify.
Are we becoming more valuable as we grow?
Compare the cash the new work brings in with the capital, staff time, and risk it adds. Check what it takes to deliver and sustain that work.
What might make a buyer hesitate?
Pick a major customer, role, or process. Identify what must carry over, who can keep it working, and what records support that conclusion.
Which kind of valuation do I need?
Write down who will use it, what decision it supports, and whether the intended use calls for a formal opinion. A diagnostic review can help explain what drives value and where improvement may matter.
A documented process shows how work is supposed to happen. Evidence that someone else can carry it through shows whether the handoff works.
